Inspired Personal Chef's School Lunch Program
Objectives of the School Lunch Program - To provide students, faculty, staff and guests excellent meal options to refuel the body which will promote balanced eating habits through good nutrition for the perspective of lifelong health and wellness. Through our interactive cooking demos we will teach nutrition, not as a cure to the plague of obesity and poor health, but as a tool to improve healthy behaviors. Thus, promoting daily practices that will change the legacy for this generation of children who are described every day as the obese generation. A few goals are as follows:
• To empower and educate students to make healthy food choices
• To provide freshly prepared dishes at a reasonable price while emphasizing eating foods with a diverse range of flavors, textures and colors, as recommended by the USDA.
• To provide an opportunity to demystify the cooking process with coking classes that engage the community and encourage families to work as a team creating quality time together, reduce stress by bringing the family together for meals.
• To provide a product and service which exceeds the expectations of the students, parents, faculty and staff.
